- 2. Call the Orange Homeless Neighbor Hotline: for those who are from the city of Orange (last home, last job, have family in Orange) please call 714-280-4227
- 3. Call the Orange Police Departments H.E.A.R.Team (Homeless Engagement and Resource Team) at (714) 744-7599
We have an obligation, not merely to feed our homeless neighbors, but to help them to find permanent solutions to their housing situation. There are many great agencies working toward that goal. Here are some opportunities for you to get involved…
UNITED TO END HOMELESSNESS a united countywide effort to end homelessness. Sign the petition.
HOMELESSNESS 101 TRAINING- TBA- Come and understand the misunderstandings associated with homelessness in our community as well as the latest statistics. (Taught several times a year).
FALL PROJECT- Winter Jackets needed for Homeless Students:
Despite the hot weather, it is officially fall which means we all are already starting our planning for Christmas! Orange Unified School District district has 250 homeless kids attending it’s various schools who are in need of jackets and shoes for the winter season. OUSD has asked if wecould rally together to meet that need by the first week in December. If you are interested, please let me know. Jay Hewitt at email@example.com.
