Description:

Enjoy your time outside as you help clean up the City’s 40 year old orange grove at Hart Park. It’ll be a day of cleaning up weeds, pruning dead branches, debris and shoveling out waterways so that the trees will continue to be irrigated. Be prepared to get your hands dirty.

Eat a hearty breakfast before you arrive and bring water with you. You’ll also need to wear closed-toed shoes and clothes you don’t mind sweating in. Since you will be outside, make sure to wear sunscreen or a hat. All ages welcome.

Other things you’ll need for this project:
- a large shovel, metal rake, or pruning shears with your name on it
- gloves

You’ll meet at the entrance to the orange grove, which is up in the corner of the park by the 22 fwy offramp and Glassell St. The gate will be open and a volunteer will be waiting for you.

During your time at Hart Park, you’ll be able to utilize the Hart Park restrooms.

**Don’t forget: Love Orange’s Kick-Off will be held at Orange High School at 8am. Check in starts at 7:30am. You’ll receive your t-shirt, coffee and breakfast. Plus you’ll get to meet our community partners. It’s a great way to start our serve day - See you there!!
