Description:

Help us prepare the Nature Center at El Modena High School for winter by pulling weeds, landscaping, mulch laying, planting new plants, painting and removing excess leaves and branches.

Volunteers will need to wear closed-toe shoes and clothes they don’t mind getting dirty. Some of the work might be out in the sun so sunscreen and wearing a hat are highly preferable.

Water and snacks, as well as gloves and tools, will be provided.

No children under the age of 12.

The OUSD asks that you be prepared to wear a mask in case social distancing is not possible.

The Nature Center is a water-wise, native plant life exhibition center that has been in Orange since 1966.

Important: In order to get to the Nature Center, enter off of Esplanade, just north of Chapman. If you use GPS, that’ll take you to the front of El Modena High School. The Nature Center is on the campus.

**Don’t forget: Love Orange’s Kick-Off will be held at Hart Park at 8am. Check in starts at 7:30am. You’ll receive your t-shirt, coffee and breakfast. Plus you’ll get to meet our community partners. It’s a great way to start our serve day - See you there!!
