Description:

Come to El Modena Nature Center and learn about the basics of California Friendly plants and design for a water wise/drought resistant garden. All are welcome to this open house.

El Modena Nature Center has over 100 different species of plants. It’s the perfect place to get your questions answered about CA plants.

This open house runs from 4:00 pm - 6:00pm. With this being an informal event, please come at anytime and walk around the Nature Center while also getting valuable information. A spokesperson will be there to answer any questions.

Please wear a mask since this event is on school grounds.

Volunteers for this project will need to arrive at 3:30pm (for set-up) and will stay until 6:30pm (for tear-down). Volunteers will need to wear closed-toe shoes and a mask.

Tasks include: setting up tables, displaying flyers, putting out a sign for visitors. etc. When the event is over, all event items will need to be put away.

Important: In order to get to the Nature Center, enter off of Esplanade, just north of Chapman. If you use GPS, that’ll take you to the front of El Modena High School. The Nature Center is on the campus.
